Privacy policy
Kevin Brenden is the data controller for the data in Vedder. Send questions to kontakt@vedderapp.no. We don't sell data and don't show ads.
What we store
- Name and email from signing in with Apple or Google.
- Your profile: username, name, photo, and your Vipps number if you add it.
- Your friends and who you have blocked.
- We never get your contacts. “Invite friends” only shows them on your phone, and the invite is sent from your own phone.
- Your bets and what happens in them.
- Reports you send.
- What's needed to send notifications, and technical data such as your IP address.
Name and email are needed to have an account. The rest is optional, but without it those parts of the app won't work.
Why
To provide the service: keeping track of the bets between you and your friends. The legal basis is our agreement with you. We use reports and blocking to keep Vedder safe, and the legal basis for that is our legitimate interest in doing so.
Who sees it
Only the people in a bet can see it. Other users can find your profile when they search for friends. If you share a link to a bet, whoever gets the link sees what the bet says, but never amounts.
We use a few providers for storage, sign-in, notifications and operations. They only process the data on our behalf. The data is stored in the EU. Some providers are American, and transfers to the US follow the EU's standard contractual clauses.
How long
As long as you have an account. If you delete your account in the app, your profile and profile photos are deleted, and if you signed in with Apple, your Apple sign-in for Vedder is revoked. Ongoing bets are called off. Settled bets stay with your friends, with “Deleted user” instead of your name. Reports are deleted once they have been handled.
Your rights
You can ask for access, correction, deletion and to get your data handed over to you, and you can object to the processing. Write to kontakt@vedderapp.no. You can also complain to Datatilsynet, the Norwegian Data Protection Authority.
